Donations and Recognition

The Take Flight Project will raise ~ $575,000. With $410,000 already donated or pledged, the Campaign needs to raise approximately $165,000. We expect to raise all or a large majority of these funds from individuals. The Shelter is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt organization.

ravenWe desire donations that are made immediately or as two-year pledges. Ideally, a donor who wishes to give a two-year pledge will donate half of the pledge immediately or by July 1, 2009, and the second half of the pledge in the first quarter of 2010. The Campaign Leadership Team is happy to discuss different donation schedules with any any donors who so desire.

If you are a potential donor, please consider making as large a gift as possible to the Take Flight Project. These enclosures will exist for decades (at least) and in that time will help thousands of injured, orphaned, or sick wild animals take flight once again. There is no better way for you to directly help save the lives of the local wild animals that you love and appreciate so much.

To make a donation or to learn more about the Project, contact any of the Leadership Team members that you know or contact Kol Medina, the Shelter’s Executive Director, at 206-855-9057 ext. 2 or at kol@westsoundwildlife.org. You can find out more about the Shelter at www.westsoundwildlife.org.
