Echo: Western Screech Owl

Echo is an adult western screech owl. She came to us after being found unable to fly because she was partially blind. Because owls rely on their sight to hunt and evade predators, Echo could not be released into the wild. Echo is one of the smaller owl species in western Washington, standing only as tall as a soda can! Echo enjoys camouflaging in her enclosure and playing hide-and-seek with her keepers!
