Mariah: Red-Tailed Hawk

Mariah is adult female red-tailed hawk. Mariah was originally an educational ambassador at another facility which closed. Luckily, we were able to offer her a forever home in our education program. Mariah suffered a traumatic injury which resulted in several fractures of her wing. Her wing had already healed when she was found, and unfortunately the injury was unable to be corrected. When Mariah is anxious for her food, she will make excited chirping noises – which sound very similar to young songbird chirps.
